Xitip is a graphical front end based Information theory inequalities prover[1][2]. This software is adapted from the ITIP software [3]. The Xitip software developed at EPFL, is written using C with Gtk and is licensed under GPL. Xitip can verify any Shannon type information theoretic inequality. Information inequalities subject to information constraints can also be verified using Xitip. A distinct difference between the Xitip and the ITIP software is that, the former does not use Matlab to solve the linear programming problem. The program is also significantly faster compared to ITIP since the algorithm and the framework is almost exclusively written in C language. Xitip versions are available for Linux, Cygwin, native Windows and Mac OS.
