Sarah Margaret Whitburn LL.B (Hons) BA is a practicing lawyer based in London, England. She gained admission as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand and was employed by Bell Gully in Auckland, New Zealand in 2001. As a solicitor there, she has advised the New Zealand Government on the amendments to the Financial Reporting Act 1993[1][2] and advised both the New Zealand Government and a number of superannuation fund providers on the implementation of the nationwide Kiwisaver superannuation scheme. In 2007 Whitburn left Bell Gully to go to London, England to work at Slaughter and May, a "Magic Circle" law firm. She then became a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of England and Wales, and is an Associate at Slaughter and May, specialising in corporate finance and superannuation fund law[3][4]. She has been involved in a number of significant international transactions.[5][6][7]
